This series of installations reflects the artist’s longstanding focus on the relationship between space and perception. By reducing form to an intensely minimal threshold, modern materials and shapes—captured in their most fundamental and abstract qualities—forcefully intervene in and alter the space’s mass and character, creating a transcendent medium and a site of “arrival” for sensory experience. The viewer is no longer a passive observer, but directly confronted by the oppression and gaze exerted by these spatial objects, forming a reciprocal subject-to-subject dialogue.
